Paola was born and raised in the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. Being in a military family they had the opportunity of living in Germany, Indiana, and Louisiana. Travel is a big part of who she is. While attending university, Paola did a semester study abroad in the Netherlands, and a theater and literature research in England. Paola spent a year in Poland teaching English and Spanish and had the opportunity to explore parts of Poland and Ukraine. She was also an English professor at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico and served in various schools as a high school English teacher. As a student of Zion Massage College, Paola did a study abroad in Thailand to train in Eastern Healing techniques. Before studying in Utah, Paola studied at the Puerto Rico Massage & Bodywork Institute. Due to the devastating hurricane "Maria", Paola and her family decided to move to the US mainland and make a home in sunny St. George where she enjoys the beauty of the red rock, the streams, the lakes, the sunsets, and best of all the friendly people she considers family.

Always involved in sports, Paola was introduced to massage at a young age as she received massages as member of track, soccer, and swim teams and would sometimes give massage to her teammates. Having suffered sports injuries of her own, she understands the power of massage as a way to heal and restore the mind and body.

Paola is committed to continually increase her knowledge and hone her skills, in addition to studying in Puerto Rico, Utah, Thailand and the Netherlands, Paola has completed a Medical Massage Practitioner training in Nevada. Training in Medical Massage is important and valuable when working with frozen shoulder, whip lash, tennis elbow, pelvic and knee situations, as well as plantar fasciitis. The satisfaction of helping clients through their recovery process and bringing relief to pain is one of Paola’s great motivators. She is also excellent at relaxation massage, trigger point, hot stones, and tailoring the massage to the client’s individual needs and preferences.

Wellness and health have been strong in her family culture since birth; born to athletic vegetarian parents and Yoga master grandma. A healthy lifestyle and continuously learning about how to best support our physical and emotional health have been her life’s driving force.
