Kay Merz, LMT
Hi there everyone!! My name is Kay and my husband and I just moved to St. George this month, March, 2018 due to my husband’s new job as a Cross Utilized agent at the airport with SkyWest Airlines. I have been a Massage Therapist for 10 years, a Certified Massage Therapist in Colorado and Wyoming, then moved to Arizona where I took the MBLEX Licensing Boards exam and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2015. I am currently a Licensed Massage Therapist in Utah as well as Arizona.
I became interested in Massage while working as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in an Outpatient clinic in Lakewood, Colorado. I’ve been in the Physical Therapy field for over 20 years and was a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for 18 years then retired from that field in 2014. In the Outpatient PT clinic, I did a lot of manual therapy (Myofascial Release, Cross-friction massage, and deep tissue techniques). I absolutely loved the “hands-on” experience and the fact that my patients were really benefitting from it, so I decided to enroll in the Massage Program at the Colorado School of Healing Arts and graduated from there in 2007. I absolutely love working with people and will do anything to make them feel better. I find that Massage Therapy is the best medicine out there and that clients seem to get the best relief overall with massage sessions. My goal is to make you feel better so that you can work with ease, unwind, enjoy activities, as well as enjoy life in general.
Throughout the years in my Massage career, I really got interested and became Specialized in Corporate Chair Massage!! Since graduating from Massage school in 2007 up to today, I’ve done numerous events in different workplaces, Health Fairs, and Expos doing chair massage as well as an ongoing account with the Intel group doing chair and table massage sessions. I also do Deep tissue work, Myofascial Release, Cross-Friction Massage, Trigger Point Release, Therapeutic Swedish Massage, and Sports Massage.
When I’m not doing massages, I love to travel with my husband, going to concerts, as well as getting involved in church activities. I hope to meet and work with you all soon!!
